Wow, they have an incredible purple/violett columella! Eric, I would suggest that you somehow cut off the sharp shellpart what is broken. Not that it is stitching in the snails body, when it is falling somewhere off.

I´m glad that they arrived fine! About the shell they already arrived to me on that conditions, but I guess that they will recover fast.

an update ont them no longer retracted and i have named them tim and sheela here are pics from last night and this morning(sorry to bore you ) sheela on the left tim on the right tim enjoying a bath with the fulica
