;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I am so happy...my baby margies arrived safely this morning, and they all have a red "bum, "butt", "a$$" or whatever you want to call them. Thank you Eric, they are gorgeous. They arrived pretty cold but soon warm up. They peeked their heads out and wanted to see the outside world once they warmed up. 2 of them have already slimied up to the lid of the tank. And the other one who is pretty laid back and may be she / he can join the lazy g*t club with all others margies, just stays at the bottom of the tank. The shell of the laid back one is slightly damaged on the edge, but I think she/ he will repair its own shell herself / himself. I am leaving her / him alone and see how it goes. I will post pics later if they are willing to have their first pic taken. Thanks again Eric. ;D PS Now I need to think of their names. May be I should have 2 boys and 1 girl names, will see.

Good news. The baby margie that has the damage snail has decided to "rip" the other bit off herself / himself. So it looks like she / he is repairing her / his shell now. Just checked on them and they are so cute... Here are the pics of them. ;D Just before I sprayed and wake them up. They are checking on each other. And they decided they have seen enough of each other. PS They still have not got any names yet. *They wave back to Magenta

They're suturalis, their columnellas were checked if I remember rightly, Sarah. And Magenta's bum is getting redder as her shell gets thicker too ;D

Do you mean that the parents columella got checked? Non of my babies ever had a columellacolour at this age. Only the ventries showed already at this size their colour.
Kind regards, Gabi

Lisa, yours seems settle down very well and eat the corgette. I still have not noticed that mine are eating yet but it's still early for them. Can't wait for them to wake up later tonight. None of my margies eat cucumber, but I am going to try if these babies will eat any since they are very young right now, so may be they have no choice. ;D PS Whatever they turn out to be, I still love them. It does not matter if they are ovum.

Had no idea about that Gabi, just going on what I was told. I dont care either way, I'll get suturalis at some point if these arent, but to be honest, I just wanted baby margies ;D

...you are right Lisaq ;D Babymargies (or all Archachatina-Babies) are so cute little balls ;D I too never care what breed they are really, they are just so magical....AND donĀ“t give to much in their "bum-colour". I have suturalis with a normal brown butt.

I really just don't care what they are ( ie if they are ovum or suturalis) or the colour of their columella colour is. The fact is they are cute and that's it. I love them even they are the most common species.
*Eric, they have just eaten a big piece of lettuce and also make a massive hole in the cucumber. They will be little fatties. ;D

Ps. I just had Madge out, and took a peek at part of her columnella. Definitely red/pink. Maybe that's just a baby thing. Would be nice if she was a suturalis, but it's not really important, she's a blunt bum and very pretty and I love her.
God I sound wet...
