Bad day today!!! Found that one of my 'triplets' had died, I didn't check them yesterday and today it was waaaaay back in it's shell (it has done this before) so I gave him a sniff......................!!!! It was the one that I posted this thread about, so after all my coaxing him along he just didn't make it. petsnails.proboards3.com/index.cgi?board=problems&action=display&n=1&thread=1721Then I found that my little zachrysia had also gone, I rarely saw this little chap, just knew he was around by the food disappearing and his little poos, I never knew how old he was but am very sad to have lost him. So tonight I am not very happy, feel like I have failed in some way yet don't know what else I could have done. Val

Losing snails is always bad,but none more so then your first ones.Unfortunatly its all part of snailkeeping and not something you can blame yourself for.

Hi Val, sorry to hear about your losses :-(
If you would like then you can have 1 or 2 of my zachrysia, they have out grown their tank so i wouldn't mind giving up a couple and you can even have a fulica if you want whatever size :-)
Hold on i'll post a pic of my zachrysia, they are only about 4-5 months old and captive bred...

Val, I am sorry for your loss, but same as Sarah, I can offer you some Zachrysia with a white-creme body and yellow shell and I found today a batch hatching which could be from the dark-grey-bodied ones and they have too an yellow shell (but not sure on this, cause they are to tiny yet.
Kind regards,
Gabi

Sarah & Gabi, that is very very kind of you both, but I have decided not to replace him.
Thanks again,
Val xx
