I read that Nisbet on « Life of Achatinidae in London» fed regularly his GALS with fruits, vegis, including potatoes . Anyone knows if the potatoes were cooked, or raw ? And if the potatoes were with the skin or without it?
I read on the favourite food for snails thread, that someone is giving yogurt to the snails. It is good for snails?
Thanks.

I have fed mine cooked potato. I microwaved it until it was really soft, then I actually took the skin off mine so I don't know if they would have eaten that as well. I mashed mine up with a little drop of milk and put some in a little dish they really liked it. The dimidiatas ate loads.

I was going to ask the question about yoghurt. If anyone knows if it's ok to feed, please reply.

I occasionally pinch an oven chip or a roast potato from the pan for them. They like the soft potato inside. I run it under the tap first.

Do you want me to sit in the corner and rust, or just fall apart where I'm standing?

Erm smallish potato say about the size of a golf ball, give it about 4 - 5 minutes on full power, let it cool then skin it and mash it with a little drop of milk, mine really loved it, had pure white poo for ages!! ;D ;D

I´m about to give some mashed potatoes to them. Tigers are already moving around like if they know about it. Now, I still have doubts about damn yoghurt ( it has plenty of calcium and vitamins) but its healthy for snails as it is for us?
