I got 9 megalobulimus from Emma (Andrew). lol they are eating me poor, really. Are yours too eating so much? Those nine snails eat in one night a whole salad, loads of cucumberslices (half of a cucumber), one zuchini (courgette here called?) and some slices of sweet potato and about half of an handfull of fish-food-flakes or sticks! Do yours touch cuttlefish? One must have tried it, as I found rasping marks on it, but all others refuse, so I am powdering cuttlefish over their food. The uruguyan ones from Kevin are not so heavy eaters. The 3 are happy with 2 salad leaves, some cucmberslices and an appleslice and an sweet-potato-slice per night and I have tried them thicker food too and they have rasped on it. The Trinidad ones donĀ“t eat food that is thicker than 2mm. That stays left in the tank.

My 3 are eating like horses. They eat all day long and rarely go to sleep. I have to feed them every night instead of feed them every other night like to the rest of my snails. So far I have only given them sweet potatos, corgette, and an apple between the 3 of them every night and they usually finish everything by the morning. 2 of them are for my friend, but my friend suggested me to keep them for the time being 'cos it might not be nice if I only keep 1.
I got Kevin's only for a day or 2, so I cannot tell how much they really eat yet, but they def do not eat constantly. But then they are a lot smaller.
I put in the oyster shells powder and I know they all have eaten those. I put one medium size cuttles in and I only noticed that Andrew's megas like to "sit" on it. Don't think they have eaten any, but I have not really checked properly.

Yes I have noticed this, alot. Greedier than even the fulica which works out rather expensive. No cuttle, I was using limestone flour in the substrate and on the food.

It could be partly due to the length of time theyve been intransit? Andrew also mentioned it had recently rained when they went to collect after a dry spell. Perhaps they were burried waiting to come out to feed for a long time?

Mine are also eating well, they love cucumber, letuce and sweet apple the most but have also eaten sweet postato and some courgette. They LOVE crushed oystershell in fact I have taken it out now for a while cos they were starting to leave their food and just eat the oyster shell. They also LOVE pumpkin seeds (shelled). I am really pleased with their progress they are a lot easier to keep - so far than what I was expecting.
