I made some snail mix from chicken food, rabbit food (supa), oat, calcium and sunflower seeds. Just put those in a mixer. I think you can use basicly any seeds, flakes and dog/bird/rabbit food. Don't forget to put some calcium in it too

Don't put milk in it I think milk can cause a digestive problem!!!!!

I've never personally heard of milk causing digestion problems in snails. I often see slugs eating the milk from the top of milk bottles so I don't think it would do harm in small quantities. However, I don't think I'd bother using it. It's not really similar to anything they would ever come across in the wild in any great quantity that I can think of, so saxon may be right, it may have the potential to cause problems.

I just use ready-brek, a bit of weatabix, mashed up banana, scraped carrot and scraped sweet potato, scraped cuttlefish add hot water. Mix up, leave to stand for a few minutes, add a small amount of beer and cold water. Mix well and give it to the snails, they wuff it down ..especially the margies

My fulica doesn't eat anything else but cucumber and apple He doesn't like the mix I made for him, just runs over it. Hope my fulica babies that come next week aren't so picky!

I can formulated three differents dried mixes for snails:
One (Mix for adult not breeder snails and old snails):[/b]
-Dried food for omnivore rodents (For example hamsters). -Rabbit food. -Wheat flour. -Dried milk. -Calcium bicarbonate.
Preparation: Mash all elements (Until obtaining a homogenous dust) so that it wheat flour occupies 2/3 of a cup, the other part with the other food (Rabbit food, hamster food, dried milk and calcium bicarbonate).
Two (Mix for malacophagus snails, for example Rumina decollata, Oxychilius alliarius and other species):
-Dried food for turtles (Pellet or Gammarus). -Fish food (Flakes). -Dried food for dogs or cats. -Wheat flour. -Calcium bicarbonate.
Preparation: Mash all elements (Until obtaining a homogenous dust) so that it wheat flour occupies 1/2 of a cup, the other half with the other food (Turtle food, fish food, dog/cat food and calcium bicarbonate).
Three (Mix for breed, old, babies and adult not-breed snails):
-Dried food for omnivore rodents (For example hamsters). -Rabbit food. -Fish food (Flakes). -Turtle food (Pellet). -Wheat flour. -Calcium bicarbonate.
Preparation: Mash all elements (Until obtaining a homogenous dust) so that it wheat flour mix with calcium bicarbonate occupies 2/3 of a cup, the other 1/3 with the other food (Turtle food, fish food, rabbit food and dried food for omnivore rodents).
-These mixes for snails give me excellent results (Specially mix One). Regards.

Is better to give dog biscuits each 3-4 days if it are herbivore landsnails (Because in these landsnails the excess of animal proteines can ends at a growth disease).
