My limis have both retracted, they will come out when given a warm bath but I'm not sure if they are eating. I think the problem is heat related becasue the weather has changed recently! Does anyone know any ideal foods for limis that might encourage them to eat? They have never been huge eaters so maybe ive been giving them the wrong things the wrong things the whole time. If someone can help me please I would really appreciate any ideas. thanks

More warmth, and sweet potato.
Ive found they become incredably innactive without a constant "tropical" almost environment. Might just be my tanks but temperatures below 20c and they just burrow and seal up.

Hi Ian! I do keep my Limicolaria flammea on extremely wet cocohumus in a pretty small tank (30x20x20cm). So it is extremely humid (always over 90% ´humidity) and I am heating it to around 30 degree over day, with an nightdrop down to around 20. They are doing incredible fine on those temps and they are eating mainly on cucumber, zuchini and fruits. But all isn´t touched as long as it is fresh. As soon as it gets smelly, they eat it. Mine have been wildcaught babies (not even 5mm shell-length). Got them last summer and they have started about an month ago to lay tons of eggs (weekly a batch of around 20 eggs from each Limi). The first 3 batches have already hatched and most of the babies are eating and growing. I do so much hope, that they grow on and then will be loads of flammeas available in spring. Are yours wildcaught adult ones or captative bred ones? Wildcaughts usually don´t live for a long time in captivity. They are often dying within half an year in captivity as they seem to do hard with the change to tank-habitat. Kind regards, Gabi

Mine are captive bred, they came from Sarah. They have been doing quite well up until now growth wise they are almost 5cm so from what I know thats adult. Thank you both for your help, I am going out today to buy them lots of food and possibly a new tank! Is it best to keep them on their own, at the moment they are in with an iredalei?
edit-Gabi please remember me when it comes to rehoming your babies, im desperate to have more limis they are my new favourites.

Ive just got home and set up the new tank for the limis. I have given them a bath and I think one of them has died while I was out! I dont know what to do now as I only have one left and I dont want to keep it on its own or just one member of a species! If anyone has any babies or adult limicolaria available please let me know as I am desperate and am willing to pay. thank you ian
