I've had a look but can't find this - are fulicas "achatina fulica" or "lissachatina fulica"? I thought they were called lissachatina, but recently I've seen quite a few people calling them achatina. Thanks Kathy

Theyre Achatina fulica, Lissachatina is theyre subgenus, I think someone suggested that Lissachatina get promoted to a full genus but it didnt? iredalei are also Lissachatina.

Prof. Albert Mead asserts that the Achatinids need many of their sub-genera upgrading to full genus. But until he publishes a definitive list that is accepted by others, we have to stick to the old ways.
