hi! I got 2 baby albino reticulata's about 2 weeks ago ;D and i put them in a small tank with 2 inches of peat on the bottom. They burried themselves a lot in the peat and i just assumed that babys did that. A week after i got them, i saw that there was a lot of new growth on their shells, but i also noticed that on the new growth there was wide, white lines, which i dont think is natural on reticulata's shells. i thought that maybe peat was acidic and had caused it. I have now put different substrate in and im going to see if it helps.
Do you think it was the peat or is this natural? Will it take long for these white lines to grow out?
