The last couple of weeks one of my wild caught ventricosa has hardly moved, I assume not eaten either, as its usually in the same position, and when I do move it it stays in the same position, it isnt dead, and up until now it hasnt been retracted either, its kept in a warm, heated tank with high humidity, all my other ventries are very active, and seem healthy, the one that is unresponsive I got later than the others, and from a different person, any idea's on how i can get it to be more active, and what could be wrong with it?

Possibly nothing wrong with it at all!! Remember the margie which I though was dead?? I think that some snails just need a longer settling in period, the conditions sound fine, I would just keep spraying him and leave him to it. All my margies seem a bit quiet at the moment as well, as though they are having a winter rest period.

Val hopefully your right, and it just needs longer to settle in, im worried whether its getting enough food, but it isnt retracted so hopefully it'll be ok.

Not too sure if I can help. When I first got my ventris from Eric, it was pretty cold and they hardly moved, in fact they were not active at all. I just gave them a "hot" bath (I mean hot is the water from the hot water tap, just a few drops of cold water) every single day to make them active / wake up. And I did stick the food in front of them and *made* them eat the food. It took me about an hour to just to make sure they have eaten something. I have also given more heat to them at that time.
