i had a batch of immac babys born two to three weeks ago they were all doing really well growing fast active and healty i was feeding them sweet potato corgett (sorry about spelling) cucumber apple ans butter squach not i checked them yesterday and they were all fine i disgarded any left over food gave them a spray and put new food in a little more than usual as they seam to be eating more as they grow (understandable) i put them back on the fish tank and have checked them just now and not one of them is alive! they all have seamed to come out their shells and died they are allmost stiff? the tub they were in was only small it did have ventilation but there was a strong smell of fruit/veg when i opened it do you think the fruit/veg has fermented over night and and gasses them? there were about 15 1-2 cm babys in a snamdwich box they still ahd lots of room the others which were in a taller box are fine? please help as i dont want to lose the other babys and need to learn form my faital mistakes

Hmmm, I think the fact that they had all come out of their shells seems to suggest that they had indeed suffocated!! Obviously the box was just too tiny. So sorry to hear that you have lost them all, I would keep an eye on the others in the taller box, perhaps check that the ventilation is adequate!!

hiya i dont think it was the box was to small i think it was to short as it was still a long box just not high but it was ventelated and they have been fine for the past few wweeks thats why i think it may have been due to fuirt/veg realising gasses? when it was warmed on the fish tank anyway the others are all doing fine i think i have learnt form this tragic mistake lets see what happens next time
