I was wondering, because I have two tanks in which the snails have loads of room, and in these tanks, the snails hardly do anything, they either hibernate or sit on the sides. And ive got two tanks which are quite crowded, and the snails in these tanks are REALLY active and these are the tanks where the most food is eaten. so is there a correlation?

Maybe the only connection would be that in a crowded tank the snails have more competition for the food and are crawling around looking for more.I haven't noticed anything like that in my bigger and smaller tanks.

Why don't you shuffle them around then, you can mix species

i compressed the tank populations, hopefully this means less wasted food and more active snails. i'll let you know how i get on.

They grow faster and more ( because they eat more)or because of less space they donĀ“t grow as if they were in a bigger tank?
