Ive started to hear about keeping woodlice with snails, and a member of cybersnail has asked me to send some woodlice as they cant be easilly found in his area, to be kept with his snails
..I may have trouble finding Leopard Slugs, but my garden is full of woodlice, of all different species and colours, In a quick 5 minute check I found way over a hundred woodlice of at least three identified species, maybe more as some of the colours and patterns vary on them
Apparantly their used to clean up the mess and uneaten foods in the housing, but is there any ill affects of using woodlice? does anyone on here keep woodlice in with they're african snails?

Hi Kev, I was going to. I even sent my sons out woodlice hunting!! and they found loads for me - but we kept them in a separate container for a while before putting them in the snail tank and they got put back outside before we went on holiday. I don't know why we didn't put them in the tank, maybe i should have done. Lets face it, you can put the soil on the garden when you do a clean out and find a whole new batch of woodlice hehe.

Yes I do,although not in all my tanks, don't know how effective they are. They will help at least a bit , are interesting to watch and dont't seem to bother the african snails.
