put coco liner or capillary matting in the bottom with a bit of moss in one corner for them to bury in, it's easy maintance, no chance of a mite infestation and the babies won't get lost :-)

I got coco liner at a garden center but it's very sticky. I bought it round, as it's made for hanging baskets. But both lots I have bought (from different places) are sticky before and after washing it.
You might be better off with the capillary matting instead. Which is also sold at the garden centers.

I tried varioud methods with my tigers but the most successful in terms of activity and eating is the following:
A large tupperware tub with some, but not loads of holes for ventilation. Coir, but wetter than you may imagine is ok. They really like it wet and it took some convincing myself that they are fine with it, but they really do seem to prefer it. I always find them buried in the wettest parts.
They eat anything and everything and are growing really well. Pictures later methinks....

Do you want me to sit in the corner and rust, or just fall apart where I'm standing?

I found moss liner so I use that now. It smells rank tho so best wash it first then it goes. Its basically the same as coco liner but it feels softer and more snug, and its got a plastic lining underneath so it doesn't all fall apart like coco liner does. I've bought it in Focus and Fermoys.
