Lisa says she doesn't use heatmats any more, they're up against a radiator as recommended - and hey, it worked!

Yes, but what about when the rads are off? Don't they go off at night? Just a thought.

I don't heat mine at night. I think some radiators let heat out from the evening and through the night though.

My radiators are on all the time through the winter. It's too bloomin cold to turn them off! Ahh you southerners have it easy... ;D
Mind you, all this albino baby hatching dancing lark is keeping me warm...

I use radiators too the snails have their own room so its on full blast their room is like little sauna think they love it. Only problem is that my house mate keeps turning it off instead of just turning down her own radiator so now they have heat mats as back up for when i cant guard the thermostat!

P.S love the storage boxes definately a must for margies mine are in the biggest tommy tank (can not believe i paid £20) i could find and its far far too small for them but they are both 15cm and one is really fat too. Im going to go to wilkinsons as there is no focus or b and q or anything in Plymouth and i dont drive so im stuck (apparently DIY is only popular in the 'burbs??). Only problem is smuggling giant tanks ibnto the house without the boyf noticing-he is starting to get a bit annoyed about my rapidly growing collection (but mostly how much attention they get)
