ok, download and install icechat from www.download.com/IceChat-IRC-Client/3000-2150_4-10117404.html?tag=lst-0-1
or

really easy to install.
once installed run the program.
be greeted with this screen, enter a nick. as i have done.
hit the continue arrow.
next greeted by this screen, enter irc.webmaster.com as i have done.
hit continue arrow.
next greeted by this screen. simple hit the continue arrow.
once that is sodne a yellow box appears, click that and then you get a help box which you can read, then once yo uahve doen that or if you wish to skip it, you will also see this screen, hit the connect button, which is highlighted in red.
then, you will need to enter the room, to do this enbter /join #petsnails in the text are(as highlighted by red) and hit return, the text area is pointed to by the blue arrow.
and voila, you can speak to us
simple as pie.
