I dont handle my snails unless I need to check them, or unless im cleaning them out, I dont think regulary handling them benefits them at all.

I don't think pulling sounds like a good idea.Sometimes they don't want to come off so I just give them a little spray and wait patiently for them to come out but I definitely wouldn't pull them if I were you.

Sometimes I'll pull gently to see if they will let go, but most of the time, I slide them. Large snails are easy to get off a tank side, you can slide your finger under their foot. Do it from the head, as you touch them, they retract and lift slightly up, allowing you to get your finger underneath. Smaller ones are tricker, but I find sliding them will make them let go, or break the suction. It is important not to simply drag them by the shell. The way to do it is to push the shell and body as one by laying your finger against the side of the body, flat to the surface. That way you know you aren't gonna hurt hem in any way.

I handle my babies and captive bred ones regularly. I tend not to handle my wild caughts as much, as they're shier. But there's no harm in handling friendly snails What's point in keeping them if you're not going to interact with them?

Whenever I handle mine, I try to set them back down on some food. That way they associate being handled with food and they don't freak out, even if they don't eat right away.
