thats really good i have just read it from top to bottom, just a thought here as preying mantis and lady birds, eat mites has anyone thought of using these or would they hurt the snails.

They might, but they'd be too big to enter the pneumstome, so if you were using them for Riccardoella they'd not be as useful.

the info is really useful , ive just ordered hypoapsis too although im really worried about using them excuse my thickness but they will stay in the tank wont they ? karen

Yes, they will stay in the tank.
It is possible one or two could escape, but they wouldn't survive very long because of how dry it is in houses, plus they're almost too small to notice. But think of it this way, while they survived they'd hunt out bugs in your house.
You should try to think of them as your snails' best friends!
