Ok, maybe I am just not exposed enough to the world of livebearers...but although ive seen some real interesting varieties, including very bright orange sword tails, I have NEVER seen mollies like this before! They are black/mostly black with iredecent sparkels! Someone brought them in for our shop, I remember holding one of the bags of them, wow, it was like someone diped them in sparkels! So beautiful! So, yea of course I took two home! Including the VERY beautiful and VERY far along momma. Has anyone seem mollies like this before??? I did my best to capture how beautiful they are with the camera, I am in awe. And looking foward to some wee ones!

Yep can get white pearly ones too, which have that same sort of irredescence, but with a pealy overtone because of the white scales. And ones which look almost neon blue because of the same sparkle effect. Theres a wyvale fish place just outside gloucestershire which sells so many molly/platty colours. Never seen a collection like that anywhere else.

Yay!! lol. Don't worry, i'll love and care for them even if they turn out to be common. But I adore having a critter that's unique when possible, or uncommon. So...yay! Besides, I think they are just stunning! ;D I hope the momma ive got there has some pretty sparkely babies

Thanks everyone! Guess what? That big momma FINALLY had her babies! Found them this morning...well...afternoon for most of you! Here they are! Awwwwww!! I love baby critters! ;D ;D ;D How long do we need to be in this little cup? It's boring! hehe...need to make sure they are away from Momma until I get the nursery ready, and make sure they eat. No clue when they were born, so JUST in case! ;D

Thats it now they keep breeding and breeding... just as bad as guppies. Oh theyre cute now, but give it 2 weeks and you have 500 of them eating away your precious aquarium plants

Too bad there isn't livebearer birth control! lol. Ah well, sure is worth it for the pretty sparkels! ;D I'll have to upgrade my aquarium to be able to hold the wee un's though . Ah well! Gives me something to do so I can quit missing my boyfriend so much for a few minutes.
