Right I know nothing about slugs, so do not snap back if I asked something stupid on here.
I was given some baby slugs from a member on this board and all I know I have to do is to spray the tank, keep the substrate wet and the tank humid enough. As I am not into slugs tbh, I decided to look homes for them but only kept one baby. This baby is a pancake slug btw.
And one day I found a slug in the round lettuce munching happily in there. Instead of killing it, I decided to keep it since it's also a baby. I was told that is Deroceras slug.
I kept these 2 baby slugs together in a plastic storage box and they seem get on well etc. They surely are not adult size yet. When I cleaned out their tank this morning. I found a batch of eggs. I am so sure they are eggs because I have goggled what they look like on the net today. I am now wondering if the slugs can mate even they are different species? If not, then can one still produce eggs but the eggs will be infertile or fertile?
Any opinion would be appreciated thanks.

;D Cheeky.
Well the eggs are still in the tank, they probably are infertiled, but I will wait and see. Just one thing, they are still young slugs, I am sure I got confirmation from a member on the board telling me that the slug that I got will not breed until at least half a year.

Some Deroceras slugs have such feature called "self fertilization". Try to keep these eggs, there is a chance that you'll have some babies

Thank you. ;D So the eggs are probably Deroceras' The eggs are still in the soil, I have not touched them and there are lots, so will have to wait and see.
