i did try ebay, but nothing came up (well something did but it was about £25 to start off with and then £15 p&p, just for some fake ivy). unfortunately most of my plants used to come from local supermarkets and homebase, but the cheap but good sized ranges are not being sold anymore, and also i have no green thumb when it comes to plants in tanks, they die really fast, but outside of tanks i'm fine (must be the humidity)

A lot of craft-oriented websites often carry fake plants. That might be worth looking into. I don't know what their prices would be like, though -- probably not a bargain, judging from my local craft stores that carry fake foliage and flowers.

Coyote: a good idea but unfortunately none had what i want, they don't even come close.
Donut: it does not need to be half dead for me to kill it lol, i kill EVERYTHING.
Does anyone know if the single stemed plants of thick green bamboo with the twist below the tops that florists sell would be ok as plantlife in my immac tank? And just so you know i've killed ANOTHER type of fern. dunno how i do it.

Now that I'm using fake plants in my tank, I've been getting the plastic aquarium plants at my local pet supply shop. They look good and they are safe to use, plus they are really inexpensive.

They actually recently stocked some packs of fake plants in the pound shop. They had dark purple one with some green or an orange one or a red one.
They werent very tall but they could jut be added between bigger ones i guess and cut the cost down.
