Albino rodatzi ?

Is there such a form as albino rodatzi ?

people are attempting to breed white jades with rodatzi to eventually get yellow shelled, white bodied snails. From what ive read, it has been done in Germany, but the full albino's were weak and died apparantly.

I´m just wondering, cos one of the people I know wrote that she´s getting both rodatzis and albino rodatzis from someone...and I haven´t ever heard anything about albino rodatzis

i always wondered that as well... they would look so lovely. but if the snails are weak, they shouldn't carry on the breeding...

The person who is getting these albinos just wrote back to me...she made a little mistake...the snails are reticulatas not rodatzis . So this case is solved

i think i have one.... (yellow shelled albino bodied) (see display pic) he's deffinatly albino since he also has red eye pigment spots... maybe he isnt a fucila - i should look up some species ID stuff, i got him along with some other yellow shelled normal bodied and a normal shelled albino and a normal one, from a guy who had too many locally.

He always seems active, more so than the others infact, is curious about everything and eats loads, see:

he doesnt come across as weak, i would be devistated if he died early
the others he came with who were the same size were sapphire and steel, 2 older ones were gold and copper:

oh and i know he's small but he's only about 10weeks old

I do have a few baby albino rodatzis - they are only small at the moment so fingers crossed they will turn out large and healthy!

I know in other animals you shouldnever breed albino to albino as this can throw up all sorts of genetic problems.

I'ld have to agree that he's one very cute guy , then again i may be slightly biased... then again i think pretty much all snails are very cute....
fingers crossed for the babies, im sure i've seen albino rodatzis areound before, and silver is soooooo lively that i figure hell have to be fine (hes a right little adventurer & poser)
