ok im off into the garden in a few hours (its been raining and still is) so just wondering when picking my garden snail what too look for?

Well that depends. If you want your snail to last long you might wanna pick one that isn't an adult. As you never know with an adult snail it's age and thereby how many years it has left to live. You might also wan't to pick a "healthy" looking one so to say no cracks, scars, parasites such as mites, not to thin body wich suggest starvation or internal parasites. Or you might pick one that is unhealthy in order to rescue it. It might also be fun to look for unusal apperances as the brown or purple form of cepea hortensis.
My only advice is to pick one that you find that you feel affectionate to. And maybe that you pick more than one so your snail dosent feel lonely.
