Worms?

If i put garden worms in to the tank with the gals will it affect them? I know that worms like to eat the mites/animals in the soil . . . so if i put them in the tank, and they make the soil healthier, will there still be mites? (i hope that makes sense!) - - - - - - Ty Loly.

I once tried putting a worm from the front yard into my aspersa tank. The worm didn't survive, but that may have been due to the soil in the tank being too compacted (I've since switched to a different substrate), or perhaps that particular worm was ill when I found it.

Yeah.. or it depends on what soil you use. Soil with mites in may be better for worms, considering that they eat the soil and churn it up, it may get rid of the mites.. and lead to a mite free tank.. thats what i'm hoping. . . :]
