My sons fulica has got a big hole now where his shell broke and fell of this morning. The snail itself has statred to ooze out where the gap is. He has now gone into his shell. HIs shell feels really delicate and fragile. PLease help

keep him moist, he'll need regular spraying. put him in a shallow tank or mabye a low height storage box lined with moss or another substrate, and make sure you sprinkle powdered cuttlefish over the substrate, then put cuttlefish and plenty of food in with him. It looks like the damage is at the opening of the shell so its not as bad as if it was further back, as long as he gets plenty of rest and is kept in a wet enviroment with food and cuttlefish he should be fine and be able to heal the damage, although it may be a bit bumpy and uneven. the retraction sounds a bit more worrying. How deep is he retracted? and could you see any sign of his body coming away from the inside of his shell?

o.k thanks we will do all of that, just got to find something to keep him in!!!!!
since i posted he has been out of his shell and eating food, so i hope thats good! i have got powdered calcium will that he o.k instead of powdered cuttlefish?
