Just pondering on this, I'd like to get my Doogle a friend, but I would constantly worry about eggs if they were compatible in breeding. Which breeds of snail can be kept happily with fulica without breeding?

It's quite common to keep fulica and iredalei together, other than that i'm not sure as fulica have different humidity needs than most other spieces.

So the two don't breed if kept together? I've just had a look at some pics of iredalei and they're very pretty!

Fulica will only breed with other fulica (though they may mate with other species). However there's some evidence that snails can self-fertilise, so you may still end up with eggs. They might not be fertile but it's a good idea to freeze them just in case.
The only problem with iredalei is that they give live birth, so if they do manage to self-fertilise, you'll end up with babies, not eggs. It's a pretty big if, but it's worth considering.
I've kept achatina reticulata with fulicas and they've all been happy.

Can I keep immacs succesfully with fulica without little baby snailies? Are they good breeds to keep together? Is a panthera basically just a stripey imac?
