Well, went looking for some cuttlefish bone today. Went to petco, and asked an employee and they looked at me as if they had no idea what I was talking about, and I couldnt find any. So, I know alot of you guys arnt from the united states, but do any of you happen to know of a place here that sells them? There really isnt any small pet stores around here anymore, they all have died out so petco was my best bet.

HI, You could try ebay for cuttlefish bone or limestone flour, or a local store for limestone chippings my snails love this. The advantages are it doesnt turn stinky when wet and if you get the flour you can mix it with water or just sprinkle it on their food.

PetCo and Petsmart ought to have cuttlebone in the bird aisle (be sure to rinse it off before putting it in the tank, and buy the plain kind, not the colored kind).
In my experience, PetCo and Petsmart employees are not the brightest bulbs in the marquee, so to speak. I had to find my own liquid calcium in Petsmart and tell the staff where it was, because they were clueless.
I have not been able to find limestone flour anywhere in the US, so if anyone knows where to find it, please let me know.

Thanks for the kind offer, Ade! Do you know how much the postage might be? I wouldn't need much, I only keep a few small snails. * Tread is locked, because there's too many same named treads around here about calsium. Let's write here next time we have some question or something else to say.. -> petsnails.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=feeding&action=display&thread=8421 - CroSSLeSS *
