You could hold them, let them slime you, let them slime other pets, bathe them, redecorate their homes, put random objects in to see what they'll do with them (ladders, haynets), make them interestingly experimental meals, plan breeding programs, work on making their habitat more natural/self-cycling, and stalk them with a camera... or is that just me?

Ha Ha, i think your on your own with the stalking thing lol!, sounds cool i might try some new stuff then, stalkings not a good idea for me as theres 1 of me and 4 of them so they would probably team up and attack me with slime in the night or poop on me!.

As Dusk says, stalking them with a camera! I like to try to take interesting photos of mine, but I'm not that good at it. I'm pleased with some of my photos though. My interest comes in learning more about them, watching them move around their tank/tank ornaments and interact with each other, breeding programmes and genetics (though not on a deep scale, I'm no scientist, but interested in science, biology etc). It's the general keeping and learning that interests me, plus there's always interesting species coming up that people are keeping, so whether I have any of these or not, it's great being a member of forums in order to see other people's snails, learn from folks, help new people etc etc and just spend cyber-time with like-minded people. For me, being part of a snail community adds to the joy of keeping the snails. I rarely handle mine, but I do take some into the pre-school where I work to show the kids from time to time. I share the hobby with my 10 year old lad (we've been keeping snails since he was around 5 I think), which, again, adds to the joy of keeping them. For me personally I wouldn't want a dedicated snail room, I like to see them while I'm working in the kitchen or living-room. If you want something interesting to do when you get you snails out, why not set up a little shallow water area in your bath, plus a gentle shower, things to slime on etc, take a few photos.... Snails tend to react well to that, but make sure there are no chemical residues from cleaning producta left in your bath, and that no-one else in the house minds the bath being used this way! lol oops sorry, I was typing it out before your last post but posted it after you posted your's, I think I misinterpreted the question too, thought you were asking what other people enjoy about keeping snails so I waffled about myself! lol (sorry)

One of my favourite things to do with my snails is to put new things in their tank, like big branches or plants or chunks of wood, then wake them up with a shower and see if they climb on the objects and what they make of them I have lots of great photos of them clambering over various things in and out of their tank! It's really funny to watch the way that different snails interact with different bits of their habitat Some of them are uninterested in new things and just want to climb up the walls, and some of them are very curious and adventurous and will try to climb on anything they can find to pose at the top! ;D

put the snails in a tight circle and they will start to crawl all over each other!
