;D I know this is silly, but if anyone can appreciate it then I guess its you guys on this forum. My Bassett Hound went outside a while ago and was making some strange noises, so I went to see what all the fuss was about, and was totally shocked by the snail invasion that had taken over my garden!. Just outside my back door there was at least 40 helix aspersa (guess it was the rain that attracted them) So, I had to move them out of the dogs way - Totally scared and enormous feet!. And found another 30 or so on my lawn, by the time I moved them all together, they had made the most amazing snail pile - totally fascinating to watch and I wanted to share it with people who adored snails as much as me. My OH, isn't sold on them just yet and only laughed at me in the dark, pouring rain, stupid dog barking at the mean snails and my saying how gorgeous they are, wasn't buying any of it. Hope to post some pictures of it if they come out?

That's not silly at all! ;D I experienced a similar snail invasion after a rainy spell a few years ago that triggered my interest in snails. I had to learn more about those fascinating creatures swarming all over the driveway and lawn. I hope your pics came out!

I saw literally hundreds of little black slugs last night - they were out and loving the rain ;D
I think they were hatchlings - all sliming off to find new places to live!!!

I get hundreds on orangey brown slugs all over my lawn when it has rained. I hate picking up the dog mess when all the slugs are out because it is hard to tell the difference without looking closely!
