Ok, so I just removed yesterdays food and some poo from my gals tank, and by their cuttlebone, I found this well yeah, eggshaped object, it was a little bit smaller than a pea, and white. Stupid me squeezed it due to curiosity, before I had taken a picture of it, and some transparent liquid came out. Was it an egg? I got my snails in june as juveniles and hatchlings, so I reccon they are about 4, perhaps 5 months old if I'm not totally wrong. And I've also read that snails lay well yeah, like a test egg somewhere before they lay eggs for real, is that true? And could that be what I found? How long could it take before I find more eggs?

if they've produced a test egg an actual clutch could follow anytime, it's best to do a thorough search daily now.

I don't know of any snail eggs that are clear. Most are opaque or at least translucent, white, yellowish, or other pale color.
Could you see anything inside the clear balls? I'm not sure offhand what they might be.

How odd. Whatever kind of eggs they were I don't suppose they were fertile, if there was nothing visible inside.

I think that's a good name for a snail.

my pet garden very small snail layed a clear egg without a mate is this a test egg? It's possible. Do you know how old your snail is? If it's an adult, it might be a test egg.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking here, but it gets a bit complicated if you post the same thing in multiple threads

Glad she's eating the cuttle. She might be burrowing to lay eggs, although if she's the size of a pea I doubt she's old enough for that. The tank might be too cold or too dry for her. I've never heard of snails shells being found in compost, although I suppose it's theoretically possible. It's hard to say where those 2 might have come from, though.
