Hi so another question from the newbie I seem to be having issues keeping the humidity up in my tank can only seem to get it to about 65, would it be ok to place the humidifier i have in my room like on top of the tank or something? As of right now it's across the room on teh floor and just by having it on I've been able to increase the humidity. stupid electric heat is drying out the air in my room so bad =[

Your best bet is to reduce the ventilation in the tank. Just, yah know... don't go overboard and make it airtight XD
What substrate are you using?

In addition to reducing somewhat the ventilation in the tank and keeping the substrate moist, you could also try putting a little, shallow dish of water in the tank too. Find a small bottle cap or something similar that would be shallow enough not to drown the snail if he were to crawl into it. That would add some humidity in the immediate area, at the very least.
Also, the tank may need to be sprayed a few times a day to keep it at the optimal humidity.

Aerliss: I've been using Eco Earth Loose Coconut Fiber Substrate. Coyote: I actually have a plastic lid that i've been puttin his food on as well as a small pool of water. He actually lived on that up until about a week ago when he finally decided to journey out and explore! (it was an exciting day for me ^_^). And I spray the tank whenever it starts to look a bit dry which seems to be when I wake up and then come home from work like clockwork really. I will try covering half of the lid with like a towel and see how that goes. Thanks for the help!

Glad it's working. Sometimes we have to experiment to find the optimal set-up.

I searched last night some inspiration to new tanks decoration and how to make it more natural looking. I found this cool raining system. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjiXI5UIf3I&feature=related I fell in love with and I wanna try it in new tank it's anyway going to be so big that it takes quite few sprays to get it moist. So I will like to make there my first do it yourself project to make it more of my on kind I'm so fed up everything to be ready so I want there something special and I think it's more natural water coming from air then from side.
