What do you mean " Rid of"? Disturb them..?
If you have any plastic chinese boxes put some of the existing soil in there and place them in...They'll be fine while you clean the place out.

I would not keep babies with adults they will eat parents shells in really bad condition. I had one baby two week with parents but then it started to eat one snails shell and it started to worry me. Babies are harder to monitor if you don't even know where they are. I think there's nothing else wrong but babies will drown too if water dish in tank. I put my snails back with parents when they where something like 3cm in shell length so they can find they way to food and calsium without risking other snails shells. Baby snails grow so fast that it don't take many months to put them back with parrents. And it's in summer example risky if you don't search food and babies go to trash an and make people get some pani. Even if snails would not live more than summer time (african species die in freezer if you put one there)

You dont need to change substrate weekly? Maybe if you got really small snails, like normal gardensnails, since its a bit harder to really find all their poop But for african ones shouldnt be needed that often, it takes months before I change my africans substrate as long as it is fresh, as in no crawling bugs (mites, flies etc), smells ok and not soggy I recomend people that get babies to move them to their own container, its easier to monitor them and they dont risk to get hurt by possible adult snails crawling over them, or drowning in waterdish as nemtioned by someone else. I got two baby fulicas who wasnt really ment to be hatched since I freeze all eggs I find, but somehow I missed two eggs, and I decided to keep these two, and they been living in their own tank, first it was just a glass jar, then I moved them into a bigger storage box when they had gotten a bit bigger, and next step will be to the tank with the other snails I got, but for now I feel it that they have it a bit safer in their own 'baby tank', since I dont want to risk them to get a damaged mantle or something if my adults would decide to climb on them.

Yes and we Finnish snail keepers think too that if you have baby snails it's ok put water dish for them after like they have 3cm shells and just use baby food jar cap it holds enough water to them bath in it without risking anyone. Always when I put babies with big ones first time I make sure theres at least 2 cuttlebones in both ends so everyone will have fare share of cuttlebone at the same time same with food.

Woodlice (pillbugs, sowbugs, etc.) in the tank will eat snail poop.
