Short of paining their shells bright pink can anyone suggest a way to make two tiny retics easier to see? They're currently spending most of their time buried either in the substrate or the moss and every time I want to check on them I spend ages just trying to find them. I know they can't get out but it's still a worry. Considering they are so small I think next time I clean their tank out I might put a bit less moss in, enough so they can hide but not enough that it takes ages to check. Any other suggestions would be welcome though.

How small are they? I don't know of any good way to make a snail more visible in a tank.

Are they the only snails in the tank, or are there larger ones in there too?
If there are big 'uns about, you could always get a small sealable container (tupperware?) and create a mini tank environment in there for them, poke some holes in the lid and stick it back in your main tank for them to live in until they're a little larger.
I know it's a pain and kinda defeats the object of having snails, but when they're so tiny it keeps them out of harms way and helps you keep track of them.

They're the only ones in there and they're about 2cm long.
I have been thinking about moving them into the fish bowl I originally got for my first snails. It's far too small for adult snails but would be ok for babies. Theres nothing that could happen to them in the big tank but I don't like being unable to find them.

The only thing that gives me peace of mind when there are small juveniles in the tank is to inspect and scrutinize thoroughly anything I remove from the tank, to be sure a baby isn't on it or in it.
