Spider plant and ivy works great I had some in my tank but unfortunately I think the spiderplant didnt like my big guys climbing all over it since it began to die, and the ivy well it died too cause its roots where kept too wet all the time. Im not sure wether these plants are cheap, but they are safe for snails: Dracaena Monstera Birds nest fern Staghorn fern Thats at least all I can remember, there are more plants, think there is a sticky here in the habitat forum about safe and toxic plants. Just remember to rinse any new plants really good including the root and place them in new soil before putting them into the tank,

Banana plant is nice too in tank but may "grow out" of tank. It's fast growing plant. In summer when it was in tank heard hear really loud munch, they tasted some leaves, my gang thinks it's must to try everyplant you put in tank. if it's don't too good, then they leave it alone. Many people use some kind of pineapple plants in vivariums too.

I had some cissus too with baby snails they love it. It has wooden stems so it could be nice that snails don't break it right away. I will get some cutting from sister, but sisters apartment is so dark that she have to give me that cutting with out roots. I have plant light so hopely I will get in in pot soon. So it's nice and big to put in snail tank when grown.

I've got some spider plants in the tank. While my guys like to climb on them and dig around the roots (not so good for the plant but hey) they don't eat them. Probably too waxy? Or the little pests are just too picky >_>
Wandering Jew (Wondering Jew?) has been mentioned elsewhere as a popular one; tasty for snails but a fast grower and easy to take cuttings from.
I recommend removing as much soil from the roots as you can from store bought plants; never know what's living in it or been added to it *is sooooo paranoid*
