hi all
what has everyone named their snail/snails? mine are called louis,simon,cheryl,danni,gary,brian,dave,lady ga ga,squidward,liam,all mostly named by my ten year old daughter ;D dave is after her dad ;D

My original 5 were called Orion, Solen, Ruby, Liv and Tim. No particular reason for the names, they were just words/names I liked.

My current 2 are called Luke and Leia. Planning on getting another pair sometime soon to breed with them, who will of course be called Han and Mara. ;D

My adult snails are named Bacardi, Whiskey, Vodka and Martini, but the two babies is still without names lol But im thinking about letting them get the names Smirnoff and Tonic xD

I've named my various snails Zuma, Junior, Yardley, Hercules, Buster, Gilroy, Mr G, Latif, Paola, Spike, Remington and Susan.

Well hen i was 7 me and my big sis used to colect snails and the fastest one was Speedy, We also thought tat the big brown snails where female so wegave one the name Shelly! Until i found out when i was 8 that snails are female and male lol, um i made up a name that i dont want people to copy but the world dosent evole around me and i guess i shouldent be shelfish about a snail name i made up so My female snail is called........Mystica Heres some others i have came u with: Shelly Speedy Dawn Dusk Melon Lemmon (for the yellow clementine (My friend lauren has a gal calld Clemy) mOONLIGHT sTARLIGHTT (GALLO!!!! My snails all have names only problem with 3of them is i can't remember who is who they have grown so much and look the same almost. My snails most of their names have meanings..

Ae Cha - Ae Sook [Meaning; Love & Love & Purity]
Aman-ud-Din [Meaning; Stronghold of the faith]
Rajya [Meaning; Ful of hope]
Femi [Meaning; Love me.]
Fulica comes from species name
Rambutan is a fruit I liked the name and this one had lot of white in shell so it fits really well 'cos rambutans flesh is white too
TeQuila and Teuila Tequila is just so fun to say and teuila was only name that rhyme with TeQuila.
Siika, siika means powan. My friend gave me year ago name hints, and this year I gave name Siika, it cames from that youtube hit "Kahden kilon siika" (two kilo powan) video. It was just home video that someone could not believe that he got huge fish and everyone started to make remixes about it.

I like to give names with "letter pairs" so names are easier to remember and isn't so "messy" if everyones name would be with different letter.

i like to imagine mine are in the ghetto and give them mock names and personalities. at the moment i have tupac, bubbles, gary, ice (T, not cube) and biggy smalls.

when i move to my new house in september i'm going to get them some lay-deez. shaniqua, tyreesha, moganja and v'lanta'la'mana'm'neesha. a proper tank will be in order as well as they'll be big enough then, so i'll make them a little ghetto backdrop and put some toy cars and bling in with them as well.

btw, not racist. it's a work in progress for a performance art peice that i'm doing when i finish uni.

I used to have 10 snails Judy, Freddy, Jimmer F.A.S (fantastic and slimy), Sampson, Sandy, Billy, Katie, Dewie, and Shorty. But sadly, Both Dewie and Shorty passed away due to shell problems.

Well, I've got 5 Otala Lactea (Milk or Spanish snails) and their names are as follows(largest to smallest):

Vi-the roman numeral for 6, which he looks like.

Jazz-he's lazy and sleepy(though healthy) and that's what Jazz music is like to me.(Not lazy, but sleepy )

Tobias-he's always lifting his head up and spreads his eye-stalks, like he's flying. Especially when I pick him up.

Pi-3.14 .Named after the math symbol. He's smart, plus he rhymes with Vi.

Lin-I have no clue why I named him that. Just a name that popped into my head.

And that's them . Their last names are Snail-o-topolis, but snail for short .

My three latest snails are Bahamut (mythical being, giant fish) Baphomet (mythical being said to represent the duality of male and female) and Dione (one of the moons of Saturn).

Shellie, not very original but agreed upon with my 7yo daughter. we rescued him from the grocery store parking lot after a heavy rain. We love shellie he's awesome

Last but not least (for the moment lol) Enceladus (moon of Saturn) for his lovely stripes, Io and Callisto (moons of Jupiter) for their paler skin, and finally Argento, which means silver I think.

I have named a few of my snails, the ones with distinguishing markings, 4 of my cepaeas are named Big Rosie and Little Rosie both banded rose morphs, Ying Yang my only black and white cepaea morph and Lemon Twist a very colorful yellow banded cepaea morph I have one brown banded cepaea morph but can't come up with a name, any help with that one would be appreciated, he is a very dark brown. There is a picture of him in the Pictures Post on the " Join Cepaea thread'. My oxychilus alliarus that just past away was named Oxy Blue due to his lovely blue skin. I am still working on the rest.

i have two, an albno called shrike (after a character in a book) and a normal GAL called Topaz because when i first got him his shell looked like the gem golden Topaz.

I feel like I'm being a little racist, my African snails have names while my British species seemed to be named in groups.
I named all my Cepaea sp. "Stripies" collectively, there are so many of them! The Roman snails are the "Poms", their tank is the "Pomnation" as I often found myself misspelling the word pomatia as pomnatio, I'm not sure why, I can spell, I think it just got stuck in my head. My culture of Discus rotundatus and Cochlicopa lubrica are the "Teeny Snails" due to their size of course. I have not yet figured out names for my arbustorum though!
My african snails are mostly Dragonball Z characters
