Hi i have recently separated all my small snails from my Pomatias. None of my snails will touch their Cuttle bone i give them and my Mom had bought some milk powder for baking. I t doesn't say its for baking its normal milk powder. It is dried Skimmed milk or Semi skimmed but it says not suitable for baby's can my snails have a little bit?

Don't know about milk powder, but if they aren't touching their cuttle have you tried egg shell, I occasionally use it for a change if you bake some shell in an oven for a little bit then grind it into a powder. Also my snails prefer ground cuttle fish also, I sprinkle this onto their food to make sure that they get some calcium.

I don't recommend eggshell crush or fine powder. I made little bit tests, my snails ate the powder, didn't eat meal and powder didn't digestion at all. Milk powder I think it's no opition I would not try anything for snails that is for humans, calsium powder is better for snails. I don't even know what kind of things is in milk powder..

Well you should be careful with cucumber and normal salad, since that dosn't contain much nutrition. Romaine lettuce is way better than iceberg lettuce. Im not so sure what the nutritional value is for the veggies, but I would try and have as big variety as possible like corn, potatoes, green beans, broccoli, spinach, zucchini... atm that is all that comes to my mind, but there are more veggies thats good.

I would not give milk powder to my snails. If mine were not eating their cuttle, I would try powdered oyster shell or powdered limestone. See here for more calcium information. Collard greens are a good calcium source. One of my aspersas eats every last little bit of collards I offer her.

I had the same problem but brought a calcuim in ground form in a dish from a ebay seller - they adored that I'll see if I can find it again Ah, just checked.. turns out she has none on sell atm, but I'm asking if she ever will again - will get back to you when I find out
