so sorry to hear she isn't doing too well...how much of her organs can you see? can I ask why you needed to file her shell? You just need to keep her on her own, and keep her nice and moist, with food within very easy reach. It is good that she is munching cuttlefish temp is she at? If it gets too hot they will start going a little limp(I came in one day in the summer to find my tanks had heated more than I thought...hairdryer on cool setting, straight away!). Make sure she doesn't get too cold either though

I dont know the temp but i had to file her shell because it had grown too fast and it had overlaped her meaning she was stuck in shell and couldent move but then she started eating it and it looks like her body is swollen...

I would just see how she goes then, and see if her body settles down again. would you be able to put a photo on here? As long as she is eating and seems reasonably active(don't expect her to be very active as she will be healing) then keep an eye on her. She would have nibble the edge of her shell to smooth it after you filing it, making it more comfortable for her. I know you probably don't want to even think about this, but if you really think she is suffering then don't hesitate to do the right thing and put her to sleep just pop her in the fridge for a few hours so she goes sleepy, and then transfer her to the freezer.

If snail is really suffering I would skip that fridge and straight to freezer. If you have powerful freezer, it won't take long..

I agree with both snailysnail & crossless, if it seems she is really suffering it is best to put her out of it & the best way to do it for both of you is the freezer. If she's like she was when you posted this, eating & out of her shell then I'd say leave her & see how she goes. I hope she gets better soon.

Its ok i guess i wasnt really attached to her like my others but i still did cry since i had interfierd with her when i should of let her be and just leave her in the tank so another note to put in my 101 snaily guide : DONT INTERFERE WITH WHAT HAPPENS TO SNAILS (unless its a shell break or a hole in its rear end of the foot i call it a tail)
