Hmmh.. I have heard about one case were person claims his/hers snails as food and send them as cargo to his/her home country usually people don't ask anything about snails that are "going to nother country as food". But actually person didn't cook them person just get packet from post office and kept them as pets. Sometimes you need to ask from customs how does the system work.

Mailing snails as food can be critical depending on the import regulations for food.
"Pet supplies" might be another idea. That's what snails are listed in on ebay.

Animals have to always declare and no animals will be taken in cabins.. Achatina Fulicas I think aren't on cities, but in some countries they might be illegal like in USA I don't is there some other countries too. Australia is very accurate with everything that goes through customs.

Hi rosanna! It probably depends on the country where you live and the country you want to import them from, as well as how you plan on importing them, and the particular species you are dealing with. Are you planning on taking them on a plane flight?Or receiving them by mail? From what country? With a little more information it will be easier to answer your question.
