Went to a reptile shop today for a nosy and they had some snails... But I don't know what species. I am assuming fulica but something tells me they weren't. I'll describe as best I can and hope someone might know. They were quite light skinned, almost as light as dimidita. They were same size as the dimidiata I've got too so fairly young. The shell colour, they were dark and light brown, you know babies shells are quite ermm 'spotty' if thats the right word, no stripes as such, well they had dark brown 'spots'. The shell shape was quite long and slender, the dimidiata I've got are quite fat shelled, these were more slender. I know they aren't dimidiata or iredalei, or tigers... Thats where I get lost though. I don't want more fulica, but I don't want to miss out if these are another species. I think by looking at them they are going to be fairly dark shelled. Although currently they aren't as dark as tigers, but darker than dimidiata. Sorry I've babbled lmao Nat

My young Fulica are spotty as you described: Dark brown spots, shell dark and light brown. They both have dark bodies but one has a darker one han the other, so maybe they come in a range of shades? How young were they (approx)? Mine were very young when this was taken (a fortnight ago). I think they were a few weeks old then, if not, younger. Hope this helps!

These were far bigger than that, about 4cm. Looked different, but they would even if same species being older. Thanks though

You can't tell by skin colour. I've had light skinned fulica and I've seen both ventricose and slender shells. Check out these fulica baby pics from Christabel's site: Until they're bigger it's probably impossible to tell. But I think you've only got a small chance of them not being fulica if they're from a shop.

Thank you... I have found the shops website and the snails arent on his stock list, but I've emailed and asked him if he can send me a photo so I can identify them Nat
