They have the pink ends to their shells, but their bodies are dark. They seem too elongated to be marginata suturalis?

They could be, but I think it is a margie. How big is it? Papyracea are only a small species. Mine is currently only about 8-9 cm and the 2 I'm waiting for are not much bigger.
Suturalis are more slender and they are generally smaller than most margies. To be honest from what I can see of papyracea they both have a similar shaped shell, I think papyracea have a slightly less concave depression on the top. But I am going off observing one group of snails so who knows.
Where did you get it from?

Well I'm no expert... But the 1 you have (I'm assuming its yours) does look extremely similar to the others pictured. The pink shell tip is cool

I got them from a local pet shop, where someone had brought them in, as they couldn't keep them any more.

Why is this thread soo WIDE? rofl. That loks just like one of the margies i got for Arno, from Bugsuk. Heres a pic i took when i had them. The one on the bottom of the pic - it is very different from the one on the top of the pic (they both came in the same package )

margies are very variable, its more simple to just assume it is one, i looked through other archachatina species, but none of them are like it. and since you got it from a pet shop its not likely to be a very unusual species.

If they are 12cm they sound like suturalis.
