The great Tiger Snail Con

Not sure if this is the right section of the forum to post this, but here goes anyway. All the way back in April I ordered two Tiger snails from heydihoo, AKA Eric Robinson. He hadn't sent these after several weeks and I asked on this forum about him. Opinion was that he would send them, eventually. I emailed him many times. He said he had sent them and they may have got lost. But there was no trace of this from my post office, and he said he had lost the trace slip, and would re-send more snails when he got back from holiday. In July he said he was going to end them out. But none arrived. Again my post office said there was no package. Despite my numerous emails to Eric, he has not replied to any of them. I gave him several opportunities to return the money if he couldn't come up with the snails.
I know he is around because he has logged onto this forum (where I've also tried to contact him). And after reading other postings I deduce he is not the most trustworthy of characters.
Anyway, I've had a bad experience with this person. Frankly, he has robbed me of almost £50. I have waited this long before warning others to give him an opportunity to come clean. I would strongly recommend that anyone contemplating doing business with this man should think long and hard. And whoever moderates this list should make it known to all members if this type of dishonest behaviour is reported.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you, doctorsnail. I hope this is merely an egregious case of miscommunication and can be sorted out quickly with either a refund of your payment or the delivery of your snails. If not, thank you for letting us know about your experience.

Eric is a complete pain in the butt. Many many people have had similar problems with him. If you have extreme patience and luck then you might get some snails from him, but it's a total gamble. I did manage to get my tigers from him eventually, but it was an awful lot of time and effort. He is banned from trading on quite a few other forums and has been carrying on like this for years.

if you paid via paypal you could go through them? if not well sorry but it looks like your going to be at a loss, i myself have brought snails off Eric with no problem but i am aware he is black listed on other fourms.

did anyone get tigers from him that survived?

I had two tigers from him. One is thriving and the other unfortunately died from an everted gut, which I don't believe can be blamed on Eric in any way.
