Lots of good pictures I like the Phenacolimax sp, I dont think ive seen shelled slugs in the UK before

there are three british shelled slug species, vitrina pellucida, phenacolimax major and semilimax pyrecaicus.
The latter two are very rare. Vitrina pellucida reaches about 5mm shell length. They're actually referred to as snails

But aren't slugs just snails without shells anyway? So shelled slugs would be snails. Dippy

Not really,usually if a snails shell is too small to fully retract into,you could call it a shelled slug,or a semi-slug..

testacellidae have tiny shells which look like little fingernails, they are described as slugs
