I have 52 sweet little baby fulicas! They are living happily in a couple of Tesco's plastic doughnut boxes! My question is regarding calcium - at what point can you put in a cuttlefish, as I assume they will need to start building their shells. I have been sprinkling a little calcium powder around their boxes, but I prefer to use a cuttlefish. They hatched 3 weeks ago & are growing really fast! Such little cuties!

::)Um, probably no reason really, but I didnt know if they would be able to rasp on it as they are so teeny. Ill put a small lump in & see if they go for it! Thanks.

I've seen my wee ones have a good shot at it, and they can probably get some from just sitting on it. It's pretty soft, even baby snailteeth can probably manage....

My garlic snails (shell diameter 5 to 7 mm) have rasped all the way through small pieces of cuttle. I think cuttle for baby fulicas would be fine.
