I have a albino Reticulata that will not leave the cuttle fish. It will stay on it 24 hours a day. It has its head out all the time with its eyes half in during the day. In the evening it eats the cuttle. Apart from that it has drunk and eaten little else for about 2 weeks now. It hasn't got any damage to its shell that it would need extra calcium. Its in a tank with 4 other snails and the rest all seem fine.
I take it off and give it a warm bath to simulate it but as soon as I put it back it goes straight to the cuttle. I've changed the cuttle more than once incase something was wrong with that but it still acts the same. I've also cleaned the whole tank and everything in it but it hasn't made any differents.
I'm worried it going to die if it dosen't eat something soon. Has anyone else had the same problem or got any other ideas what might be wrong with my snail? Please help, Thanks.

Have you tried scrapping some cuttlefish onto some other food - that may encourage him to start eating other bits and bobs. Scrape some of the cuttlefish onto some cucumber perhaps first as cucumber is pretty tastless and doesn't have a strong odour and you may trick the little guy into nibbling at something other than the cuttle.
Dont know what else to suggest, sorry but that may well be worth a try - I had problems with one of my tortoises at first and had to trick him into eating disguised bits and bobs and he's fine now so its worth a try - Good luck with him

How old is it? Sometimes they have mad calcium cravings just before they lay eggs. Maybe it's preparing to lay? I agree that if you put some powdered cuttlefish on a slice of cucumber or sweet potato, then pick the snail up and put it down right on top of it, it might eat both. Worth a try, anyway. Use whatever your snail's favourit food is to make it as tempting as possible ETA: It just occurred to me that one of my snails does a very similar thing, a half-grown margie. His favourite place to doze is in the limestone flour block. Are you entirely sure that yours isn't moving in the night and nibbling on the food like mine does? You could test it by putting it on its own with a cuttlefish and some food. That way you'll know for sure if it's eating or not. * Tread is locked, because there's too many same named treads around here.
