He has the same kind of shell as my Yet, who is growing fairly well now, even though they are very cute when they're babies its amazing to watch them grow as they do it in spurts generally, you'll come in to feed him one time and then be like, 'oh, he's really big now' also with my guys, they kept knocking over the stuff in their tank because they were too heavy, for example i had a piece of cork bark that was resting against the side, and then one night my April had obviously sat on the side of it and knocked it over and they do the same thing with plant pots as well as they are so light.

Yeah, I am looking forward to watching him grow. every month I'm gonna take a picture of him next to that 10p so I can look and see how different he is.
I think Paul is gonna be a great teaching resource! (I'm doing a primary education degree)

I like that idea of taking progress shots of the snail's growth every month, next to a coin. You;ll have a very interesting photo album when you're done!

He looks a bit like my fulica Henry, he's got a nice, clean crisp shell.

I do this, I weigh, measure and take a picture of each of my snails every month. It helps me work out growth rates, tell when they're ill and proper documentation can help you tell whether you need to change something important.

Well you've certainly got a lovely and robust young snail, and very pretty. The shell's new growth usually begins to even out to a plain brown as the snail reaches adult, but those earlier well pronounced stripes, as the ones you see now, will still be visible.

I never knew keeping a snail was so much fun, I love it. everyone else thinks they are boring, people are just like 'there is nothing cute about a snail' or 'how can a snail possibly make an interesting pet!' these people need to be educated I'm already thinking about getting another snail to live with Paul. I really like the look of albino ones, they look really interesting and different!
