Thanks Evelyn, Kevin and Mike! I got this 4 snailies today. They are in worst condition. Katherine (from Cybersnails) saved them about 2 weeks ago, but had no space, so I got them. Could some of you take a look on them in the German forum? Please help me, ID them. I have suggested that the smaller ones with the pink columnella) are suturalis and the bigger ones are ovum (apricot columnella) 83217.forum.onetwomax.de/topic=101777045540&search=

You can be sure, they have a good home now. Currently they are in a quarantaine-tank, but will soon move in an 120cm tank to some other margies from Anjie. I already own so much snailies (and a lot of them are saved ones). Taking care of now 12 tanks isn´t easy, but do my best. ;D But that are the worst looking ever, I got. How can people do somthing like that to animals?

wow 12 tanks thats a lot. how many snails do u have? rehoming unwanted snails is very kind, especially when you have so many. i dont know how people can be so cruel, i guess theyre just too lazy to care for them properly.

I have -a tank full of babies (mainly fulica and thanks to Melly, smithii (all together are around 20) - a tank with young fulica, an iredalei, 2 reti-babies, and 4 baby-fulica-rodatzii - a tank with the lignus - a tank with some very small babies (probably to fulica´s) from a petshop - a tank with 3 wc Tigers and 3 Margies from Anjie - a huge tank with 4 adult fulicas and 2 iredalei (there will live the babies then too, when big enough) - a tank with 2 young reti, 3 immaculata and another Iredalei - a tank with three small panthera - a tank with an adult (to small grown) Rodatzii, 2 young Reti, - a tank with 4 baby-margies - a tank with the 4 bad-condition-Margies I have never counted them. ;D I guess that are around 70 or 80? I love this hobby. It´s so great to come down after a day with 5 kids.

why would degneri and buylaerti be the same thing if they have different names? i think buylaerti look slightly different to degneri.
yes sarah i think puylaepti and buylaerti are the same (except puylaepti is an albino version)

This page seems to suggest that they are two different species, as they are listed seperatly en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achatinidae" A. buylaerti A. degneri Bequaert & Clench, 1936 : Ghana"

let me see...oh yes buylaerti have more shallow sutures, and slightly different skin colour. although they are very similar and from the same region.
