But why didn't Melly reply? If she believes that she has sent Sarah the snails she has asked for then she has nothing to hide. However, true she could have made a mistake, but it does sound rather suspicious to me.
Edit: oops sorry I didn't see that you have replied Melly, but that still doesn't explain much.

Well i managed to speak to her on msn, she said there is no way they could be fulica as she keeps only 3 rodatzi in a tank, she said the babies left over are that colour too, she has also offerd to replace them when she has the next batch or send the money back, I have said not to bather just yet and i'll keep them 'til spring to see if any change occurs first.
What do you keep your snails on? soil, capillary matting or moss?

What do you keep your snails on? soil, capillary matting or moss? Are you meaning only rodatzi or other snails? I keep all my fulica on peat with a bit of moss.

Mine are on soil/coir sarah. See how you go with them, it may be diet related or similar. Mine are a fair bit younger than yours it seems anyway?

Well they have quite light tips dont they - my fulica weren't like that, but that might only be mine? Whatever they are, they're very pretty - their bodies are quite red, like my fulica (or fulica cross) Cooper

My rodatzi have a yellow tinge to them and are more "dotty" than stripey. They're kept on matting with moss like all the others. The new shell growth on those looks pretty yellow, maybe the rest of the growth will be the same? My fulicas new shell growth hasn't been that colour. My fulica didn't have light tips as babies either, but we've seen there's so much variation with them

The new shell growth on those looks pretty yellow My fulica have new shell growth that's yellow, then fades and turns brown. I think most fulica have this.

Mine didn't as I said lol. There's so much variation with fulica, which is why I said -maybe- the rest of the growth would be like that. These are mine. 2cm and 1.5cm. You can't see the yellow tinge, but there is one. None of my normal fulica babies have looked like this. They're not as dark as Sarah's in shell or body, but their shells aren't as yellow as Copigeon's, yet mine are bigger They were more yellow when they were smaller, here's mine and Arno's when they first arrived (I nicked ya pic Arno ): Do they lose some yellow until they get even bigger and then get it back again?

Maybe they will I know none of my normal fulica babies have been that colour when they were that small, they've always had clear shells with the dots/lines. Not a hint of colour 'till they got to around 2cm. But of course there is so much variety. I think we'll just have to wait and see?

Sarah, I too got babies from 2 rodatzii as parents and they look like normal fulicas. We have not to forget, that rodatzii are albino-shelled Fulicas and it is always possible that a full batch turns out to have normal Fulica shells. How are everybody elses fulica Rodatzii from Melly looking like?
