I don't really think its fair on an animal to keep shifting it around when they're not used to that movement.
However I half live at my boyfriends half the time and half everywhere else/ home. My snails are at home and I don't like leaving them. Iwant to be looking after them and paying attention to the animals i keep. Also now its winter its not a case of just asking my parents to put a bit of food in at night.
If i got a carry case does anyone think its a bad idea to have a tank set up at my boyfriends and one at home.
Then the times where i left offered a lift to the station I'll take them. the train journeys 13 minutes and my boyfriend picks me up from the other side so in total it will be about a half hour journey.
Shouldn't be too bumpy. But do you think its distressing to swap them over if i keep the tanks similar? they would stay at my boyfriends 2-3 days before i take them home again.
Cheers

Snails will be fine, you sound like someone who cares for them alot. they will get used to the surroundings in no time and as long as its not bumpy then dont worry.

They might even like having a change of surrounding, I know humans do!

Snails don't have good eyesight and I think snails don't some much think of surrounding like dogs example get excited when they get to new place. Snails just eat, sleep, poop etc. and move at night time so I think they don't look out of window and look at new view..

If the smells are very different in the new surroundings, the snails may get stressed by that, because they rely on their sense of smell the way we rely on our sense of sight. So if there are common items that smell the same in both locations, that may ease the transition back and forth for them.

Thanks a lot, i would take a smaller transport case with some of their usual soil and something from their tank. My boyfriends gran has a large tank she's getting rid of so i can keep that there and my usual one here.
Yeh i care a lot, i get very attatched to things
