Hello everyone, I have just a very strange and rather wonderful experience with one of my snails, a retic named April: I was just cleaning out their tank so had them on the lid while I washed it outside, before I went I thought I would give them a quick bath with some warm water, so I set the spray bottle to a thin jet and started lightly spraying them, my Fuli, Yet, isn't too bothered about his baths but April loves getting sprayed, so I was spraying all up her body, and started doing her head, she was stretching out to get as much as possible, I decided to spray at her mouth front on, and she started drinking the water almost straight out of the spray bottle! I could see she was drinking a lot as her mouth was moving in the usual way, I got very close, less than a cm away and she was practically drinking it like a baby! very funny, anyway I just thought I'd share it with you all.

I've seen snails drink from their little water dish in the tank, but not from an actual spray of water (my aspersas don't like the spray). That's cool that you saw yours drinking from the spray! ;D

My a. fulicas do that alot too. First they get "scared" water spray as first reaction then they start to like it. My tiger just hides to his shell till I have spraid enough.

pfeiffer does that during her shower, stretches way into the shower spray (see 'the snail shower' for how to make one..). she definately drinks from it, stops when she has had enough for a while then heads back in for more. i love watching her as she just seems so content! then always goes on a mega-mission afterwards and climbs all over her tank.

When I give the inside glass of my cepaea tank a mist some slime around on the sides and I can see their little mouths opening and closing as they drink the water. It is really cute.

My helix aspersas like to sit in their water bowl but aren't fond of being sprayed either. Etienne especially loves to have bathes in the water bowl. He often sleeps with his back end in the water too
