One of the snails I got last year from Phebe has a very yellow shell, his apex is pink, is he a rodatzi? rodatzi werent one of the original possibilities of what species the snails may be, so Im assuming he is from a batch of regular fulica? can a rodatzi hatch from a batch of eggs from normal fulica? rodatzi are usually plain yellow, since my snail has markings could he be part rodatzi? All the snails I received from Phebe I think are fulica, I originally had about 16 of them, from several batches, which were very variable when they first arrived. He was around 4cm when he arrived last year, and is now around 8-9cm

I agree with Mike that it's not a rodatzi.I know Phebe had a few unidentified snails living together so this might be a crossbreed.

I think the original possibilities were fulica, albopicta, panthera, stuhlmanni (which I assume are immaculata var. panthera?) and smithii that she had gotten from France and had kept all together. Thinking about It it makes sense that it may be a cross of any of the above species, since they were all kept together,

I'd agree, it doesn't look like rodatzi, but it is true that rodatzi can have a few, thin reddish markings. I think you have some sort of crossbreed or just an unusually marked fulica.

I have a fulica that has a shell like yours Kevin. A large section of his shell is yellow, just as in the picture above. Now, his shell is turning the normal brownish fulica colour. Maybe yours will turn that colour? I know for a fact that mine is 100% fulica.

Maybe yours will turn that colour? I know for a fact that mine is 100% fulica. When I first got him I thought he would turn a more normal fulica colour when he got larger, but he's now around 9cm and is still mainly yellow, he still has some growing though so may start to look more like the majority of fulica soon, how big is your fulica?

He's about 7cm. His shell is turning brown though, not yellow anymore. He has a white apex for about 4 whorls, probably worn. He has a little shell damage, but it looks as if it is healed.
